• Established the Papal Inquisition, he was an antisemitic who was a prominent opponent of Talmudism during his life, condemning it as "containing every kind of vileness and blasphemy". In 1234 he invested the doctrine of perpetua servitus iudaeorum – perpetual servitude of the Jews – with the force of canonical law. According to this, the followers of the Talmud would have to remain in a condition of political servitude until Judgment Day, he was a complete dik. He vilified cats, which led to a great reduction in the number of cats, a situation that may have helped the Black Death plague kill 1/3 to 1/2 the population of Europe and endorsed the Northern Crusades, more of the same, death, destruction, mayhem, self-serving folly.I’m beginning to sense a theme in these profiles.
