• an army marches out to war and inevitably turns to face itself in April, 8–13 1204 a Christian army sacked the Christian City of Constantinople, its kind of what we do. Crusaders looted, terrorized, and vandalized Constantinople during which thousands were killed, women, including nuns, were raped by the invading army of Christian Crusaders which terrorized the populace for three long days.  During this murder, pillaging, plundering and raping they managed to sack the cities churches, monasteries and convents. Some of the loot included the famous bronze horses from the Hippodrome sent back to Venice, where they remain. Many works of immeasurable artistic value were destroyed merely for their material value, priceless artworks made of bronze were melted down for their content by the Crusaders.
