These images are part of a larger series containing over 125 individual creations. It is a collection of whimsical, docile creatures sharing space with each other and a supporting cast of hyperactive and ravenous carnivorous carnivores.

These creatures of the deep took their first swim in 1983 during a fishing trip. The large tackle box that sat in the boat was full of strange looking lures, some I had never seen before. The more I looked at the contents of that box the more I began to imagine these lures with heads and bodies, minus the hooks.

That was many mornings ago and the fascination I had with those strange looking lures was an eventful one that as given me a great deal of enjoyment to work on over the years, and continues to this day.
