Métis artist Dan Daulby born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1954.
For over 40 years my Celtic and Native American ancestry has had a profound influence in my work. It has sent me on a journey to discover my voice as an artist. My work is a spiritual quest to define myself and to reflect the world around me. At times negative other times humorous. My images have little in common with traditional Native American or Celtic religious practices, myths, or rituals. They are quite simply my personal interpretations.
Like a great many other artist I enjoy creating the sef-portrait so every year for the last 43 years I’ve created a self-portrait using a variety of materials and mediums. Below is a small assortment of those images.
